~~Message..........

I heard a cry in the night,
A thousand miles it came,
Sharp as a flash of light,
My name, my name!

It was your voice I heard,
You waked and loved me so --
I send you back this word,
I know, I know!

Sarah Teasdale

~~She Walks In Beauty~~

She walks in Beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellowed to that tender light
Which Heaven to gaudy day denies.
One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impaired the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o'er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express,
How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.
And on that cheek, and o'er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!

~~Sands Of Time ~~

The winds of change are everywhere
And all the world must be aware
There's nowhere left for man to go
The sands of time are running low

These visions fall before my face
I see the end of human's race
These feelings rise inside my soul
And everything is our of control

The wind of change
Are in the air
The winds of change
Are everywhere

A Pearl, a Girl
A SIMPLE ring with a single stone
To the vulgar eye no stone of price:
Whisper the right word, that alone--
Forth starts a sprite, like fire from ice,
And lo, you are lord (says an Eastern scroll)
Of heaven and earth, lord whole and sole
Through the power in a pearl.

A woman ('t is I this time that say)
With little the world counts worthy praise
Utter the true word--out and away
Escapes her soul: I am wrapt in blaze,
Creation's lord, of heaven and earth
Lord whole and sole--by a minute's birth--
Through the love in a girl!

Scarcely Did I Turn Away

I thought I saw you as the shadow of my lover's heart
In the hills where the seasons changed today
Waving gently in the wind, as if to impart
You were the one I look for, everyday

I thought I saw you in the purest flame, gazing back at me
Observing me there helpless in your stare
Yielding glances back at you, just hoping I would see
My lover's heart, in the light flickering there

I looked for you in the rising tide and waited for its fall
Thought I saw you on the crest of a wave
Heard you in the echo of a lonesome seagulls call
Seeking out the mate, his heart craves

Scarcely did I turn away and stop looking everyplace
Every waking hour I found anew
I saw you looking back from the eyes of a face
I loved and already knew

Neva Flores
Raindrop of Memories

Who never passed upon a thought, then found it renewed
Like a compass pointing towards the North again
Is this a tribute which our heart ensues
Or, our minds merely playing tricks in vain

Is there not a breeze that walks amidst the skies
Catching raindrops of forgotten thoughts
Returning memories to spin and rise
Filling corridors which once we thought held only naught

If a single thought remembered can warm a heart again
Then let me be the water in those skies
A raindrop of memories not in vain
That gently passes through your mind and brings
You blissful sighs

I can follow your soul
in the curve and swerve of your skin
as my fingertips trace the flow of your blood
through limbs, so warm, and soft, and fragrant
that I barely ( rarely ) complete the tracery
for I must breathe and I dare not
while touching you

for fear that so heavy is my soul
that you would blow away
like dandelion seeds on the winds of twilight
which is when I most desire
you
